About the UC Small Farm Center Online LibraryThe UC Small Farm Center Online Library is an effort by the UC Small Farm Center to increase user access to useful information that impacts the performance of our small farms. This database consists of summaries and abstracts of articles on a range of topics from production to marketing and farm management. Users can browse by information category or search for a specific topic by simply typing in a keyword in the keyword entry space. If you would like a complete copy of an article after reading the abstract, fill out the online request form. The Small Farm Center will then send you the article by fax or mail. Until we are able to assess demand and usage costs, there is no charge for copying, mailing, and faxing. How to Request a DocumentRequesting a document from the Online Library is simple. Typical processing time for a document request is 3-5 business days. Please keep in mind the time it may take for your document to be mailed from Davis, CA to your address. If your document has not arrived within 2 weeks, e-mail the Small Farm Center at sfcenter@ucdavis.edu or call (530) 752-8136. In what form can a document be sent to me? Documents can be either mailed or sent by fax. Specify your preference on the request form when requesting a document. What does a typical document look like? Documents are usually from 1-5 pages and are from magazines, newspapers, journals, and other publications. Will new documents be added to the Online Library?
