Farmers—You need to be counted. Please submit your completed Census of Agriculture form!
The Census of Agriculture is sent to all farmers and ranchers only once every five years by USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS). Taking part in the Census of Agriculture is increasingly important to California’s small-scale farmers and their communities because it provides a snapshot of agriculture in every county across the nation.
By filling out the 2012 Census of Agriculture, you are investing in the future of your farm and American agriculture. Your responses provide a strong and unified voice about your needs and the current state of agriculture. Law makers, government agencies, businesses, academics and individual farm operations use this valuable information to help shape farm programs, boost rural services, and grow their farm futures. It’s an important investment into the future and well-being of farming and all of agriculture in America.
Please submit your Census of Agriculture form by February 4, 2013, through the mail or online by visiting the secure website, www.agcensus.usda.gov.
